FIRST AID TRAINING COURSE

As unpleasant as it is to talk about, accidents and emergency situations are not completely preventable or unavoidable, even in the safest environments. Hence, it is very important for as many people as possible to have at least a basic knowledge of First Aid.

First Aid knowledge not only benefits you as an individual but it extends to your family, friends, co-workers, and even the community as a whole. It enables you to assist persons who become injured in the event of an accident or emergency situation until help arrives.

Over the years, Family Hospital has continued to advocate First Aid training. As Danang’s leading First Aid training provider, Family Hospital endeavors to equip more people with basic First Aid knowledge to empower individuals to save lives.

Working towards the national goal of having a first-aider in every home, Family Hospital’s training team has developed a series of First Aid courses to cater to all ages and varied needs. With our Intensive Life Support and First Aid training courses, supported by BNH Hospital (Thailand), individuals can be better prepared to take effective and immediate actions.

FIRST AID TRAINING course is designed to help participants identify and eliminate potentially hazardous conditions in their environment, recognize emergencies, and make appropriate decisions for first aid care. It teaches skills that participants need to know in order to provide immediate care for a suddenly ill or injured person until more advanced medical care arrives to take over.

An employer should ensure that an employee who is injured or taken ill at work receives immediate attention. As regulated in 19/2016/TT-BYT, issued by the Vietnamese Government, employers are required to provide adequate and appropriate equipment, facilities, and personnel to enable first aid to be given to employees if they are injured or become ill at work.

The number of employees, who need a First Aid Certificate, depends on the circumstances in the workplace. However, almost all organizations/companies are recommended to attend at least one First Aid course annually.

Each First Aid Course could last 4 hours, 8 hours, or 16 hours based on the employer’s demands.

Our First Aid Course might include:

  1. Roles and Responsibilities of First Aider
  2. Primary Assessment
  3. First Aid for Non-Trauma (Allergy Reaction, Seizures, Hyperventilation, Chocking, Syncope, etc.)
  4. Bleeding Control and Wound Dressing
  5. Burns and Scalds
  6. Broken Bones and Fracture; Lifting and Moving
  7. Basic Life Support
  8. Disaster Management
  9. Other First Aid skills for common workplace injuries and illness

First Aid skills are instructed through engaging videos and case studies, using realistic scenarios to explore the feelings of people in need of assistance, helpers, bystanders, etc. in different First Aid situations.

After taking a short assessment, successful candidates will receive a certificate valid for a period of one year. Thus, it is recommended that annual refresher training is undertaken.

Experienced doctors and nurses from the Department of Emergency, Family Hospital, are responsible for all lessons in the First Aid Course.
